When the god Dionysus said to Midas that he could grant him any wish, the King, greedy as he was, asked that everything he touched would turn into gold. And he got his wish. Whatever he laid his hands on turned into gold: the flowers, the trees, the palace gates, even people. Could this gift be more of a curse than a blessing?
